Our cookery room has been full of energy (and incredible smells) this week, as students across different year groups took on a range of baking challenges.

Our GCSE Food Preparation & Nutrition students produced beautifully shaped cinnamon rolls, demonstrating precision, patience, and excellent dough‑handling skills. Their focus on technique and consistency really shone through.

Meanwhile, Year 9 pupils worked on savoury skills, creating bacon & cheese pasty wraps and cheese & onion pasties. They practised safe knife skills, accurate weighing, and effective seasoning, all while developing confidence in working with pastry.

Across all groups, students showed strong organisation, teamwork, and creativity — and the results were delicious. A brilliant week of practical learning. Well Done!
