Team Teach at Park View School

How We Support Positive Behaviour & Relationships

At Park View School, we use principles from Team Teach, a nationally recognised approach that helps staff support children in a calm, safe and respectful way. Although we no longer deliver Team Teach training on site, we continue to benefit from the expertise of two accredited staff members who apply these approaches in their daily work with pupils.

💛 What Team Teach Means for Your Child

Team Teach is all about helping children feel:

  • Safe
  • Understood
  • Supported
  • Respected

Our accredited staff use Team Teach strategies to:

  • Build positive, trusting relationships
  • Understand the reasons behind behaviour
  • Use calm, low‑arousal approaches to reduce stress
  • Support children through difficult moments
  • Repair and rebuild relationships after incidents

The focus is always on de‑escalation and positive behaviour, not punishment.
