This Week’s Learning Spotlight!

This week at Park View School, our Word of the Week is CHAOS.

Definition: A state of complete confusion, disorder, or unpredictability where events or elements are entirely disorganized.

The image shows FDNY Ladder Company 3‘s heavily damaged fire truck, on display at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. Its crushed cab and twisted metal serve as a poignant symbol of the unimaginable devastation and chaos experienced during the events of 9/11, as well as the tremendous heroism of the first responders who answered the call.

Sound of the Week:

The /h/ sound (as in horse, house, and hat).

• Action: Hold your hand in front of your mouth and feel the puff of warm air as you breathe out to make the breathy /h/ sound: “h-h-h”.
