At the Park View Vocational Centre, we don’t just teach from textbooks—we train in real-world environments. Our state-of-the-art workshops are equipped to industry standards, allowing Year 10 and Year 11 students to gain practical qualifications in three major employment sectors:

🚘 Motor Vehicle Technology

• What Students Learn: Hands-on training in various welding techniques (such as MIG, TIG, and ARC), metal cutting, and interpreting technical engineering drawings.
• The Future: Opens direct pathways into South Tyneside’s thriving engineering, manufacturing, and shipbuilding sectors.

🏗️ Construction & Building Trades

• What Students Learn: A comprehensive introduction to the construction industry, including bricklaying, carpentry, joinery, and basic plumbing or tiling.
• The Future: Lays the foundation for successful careers in civil engineering, site management, or qualifying as a certified tradesperson.
