Design & Technology Intent

We believe that students deserve a Design & Technology curriculum which prepares them for the world they live in.

Firstly, our Design and Technology curriculum gives young people the skills and abilities to solve everyday problems in modern life.

They also will learn about industry based technology, how products and systems are designed and manufactured.

Knowing about large scale industrial based technology along with basic skill based technology will teach the pupils how to be innovative and to make creative use of a variety of resources.

We look to provide opportunities for students to develop knowledge of a range of technology areas in KS3/4 including product design, graphics and resistant materials.

Students should grow in confidence through dedicated teaching using real life situations to gain useful life skills.
