PSHE Intent Statement (Jigsaw)
At our school, we use the Jigsaw PSHE programme to provide a comprehensive, inclusive and engaging curriculum that supports children’s personal, social, emotional and physical development. Our intent is to equip pupils with the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to become healthy, safe, respectful and responsible members of society. Through a whole-school approach, Jigsaw helps children develop emotional literacy, resilience, self-awareness and positive relationships while promoting mental health and wellbeing. We aim to nurture confident individuals who understand and value themselves, respect diversity, make informed decisions and are prepared for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life. Jigsaw’s structured and progressive curriculum enables pupils to understand how they fit into and contribute positively to their communities and the wider world.
