🎨 Art & Design at Park View

At Park View, every student studies Art & Design in Key Stage 3, with the option to continue into Key Stage 4. Art lessons are taught in mixed‑ability groups, helping pupils learn from one another, share ideas and build confidence in a supportive environment.

Our aim is simple: to help every young person explore their creativity, understand the visual world around them, and express who they are.

Students experience a broad and balanced curriculum, including:

  • 3D sculpture

They learn how to:

  • Evaluate their own work and the work of others
  • Develop independence through guided tasks

🎓 Art in Key Stage 4

If pupils choose Art at KS4, they are matched to a qualification that suits their needs, strengths and learning style. This ensures every student has the chance to succeed and gain formal recognition for their achievements.

Students continue to:

  • Build technical skills
  • Work more independently
  • Make creative choices that reflect their personal interests

Currently, KS4 pupils work towards an AQA GCSE in Art & Design.
